The Pirates drop their 5th straight game as they are swept at home to the Cardinals and lose this one 10-5. This was a disastrous four-game series as nothing went right and the Cards whipped the Pirates every game of the series. Paul Skenes was hit hard from the start and gave up five runs (four earned) in 5.0 innings of work as he continues his awful record against the Cardinals. After starting 16-11, the Pirates drop five straight to erase that nice start and finish April deflated at 16-16.
