Hedges warns that the key issue is the dollar: if China, Russia, and Iran succeed in breaking the dollar's hegemony as the world's reserve currency, the US will be unable to sell Treasury bonds, leading to an instant contraction and the collapse of the empire. He concludes that Trump is little more than a figurehead surrounded by sycophants who are eviscerating the administrative state, and that unlike previous Republican presidents who were reined in by establishment figures, Trump's second-term team is deliberately accelerating the implosion.

Jimmy and Americans' Comedian Kurt Metzger discuss a recent interview on Israeli Channel 13 in which Tucker Carlson delivered a "master class" dismantling Zionist talking points, telling the anchor that Israel "just murdered thousands of children in Gaza" and should "pause before using the phrase terror regime," while also noting that Israel is "not a democracy in any sense" since millions live under Israeli control without the right to vote.

The Israeli newspaper Haaretz later wrote that Carlson's interview contained "only truths" and that "there wasn't one word that wasn't true," calling it a "perfect mirror" that evoked fury because it proposed an "alternative agenda to Israeli media: speak the truth."

This despite California being the fifth-largest economy in the world and surrounded by offshore oil wells. Jimmy notes that the United States is the world's top oil producer (13 million barrels per day) and a net exporter of petroleum, yet California relies on imported fuel because refineries are optimized for heavy crude and because state policies have closed refineries to push the "green energy grift." 
He points out that after six weeks, gas prices in California—already averaging $6.14 per gallon—will rise further until "demand comes down," meaning people simply won't be able to afford to drive, which will throw the state into a recession and make electric vehicles impossible since the grid lacks capacity. He concludes that the 1970s oil crisis was caused by Israel's Yom Kippur War, that every time Israel acts up gas prices spike, and that the state's incompetence is intentional—to push people into 15-minute cities, seize land after fires, and force dependence on UBI and surveillance.

He points out that Bezos's Amazon warehouse workers experience 100-150% annual turnover, half struggle with food insecurity and housing costs, and one-third rely on public assistance, meaning taxpayers subsidize the richest man in the world while Amazon accelerates the closure of Main Street small businesses.
