Luigi Mangione: Crucial Evidence TOSSED? New Details & Body Cam Released In Court
Nearly one year after UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was gunned down on a Manhattan sidewalk, the man accused of executing him, Luigi Mangione, is back in court for a critical evidence hearing. This week, prosecutors and defense attorneys faced off over the backpack search that happened moments after Mangione’s arrest. Inside that backpack, police say they found two key pieces of evidence: a gun linked to the murder and a handwritten anti-insurance “manifesto.” Mangione’s defense team is fighting to get all of it thrown out, arguing the search was unconstitutional. If the judge agrees, those items may never reach a jury… and that could dramatically reshape the entire trial. For the first time, we’re also seeing the still images from the body-cam video played in court behind closed doors. The full footage hasn’t been released, but the snapshots offer a first look at the moments officers confronted Mangione on the street.
