Grounded in personal experience, feminist research, and a multi-year project with the FemDes Network, the discussion explores how the night intensifies inequalities related to safety, mobility, visibility, and access to public space. Conventional solutions such as policing, CCTV, and excessive lighting are questioned, with a focus instead on participatory, community-led, and context-sensitive urban design.
