This episode of The Relatables Podcast sees Jake and Ottie back together, catching up on their recent holidays and unpacking the highs, lows and absolute chaos of travelling overseas.
After taking separate trips through Europe and Canada, the boys compare experiences, from jet lag and language barriers to cultural differences, food, transport and the little things you don’t appreciate about Australia until you leave it.
Ottie shares stories from travelling through Europe, including the incredible scenery and food in places like Switzerland, alongside some of the more questionable experiences in Hungary. Jake brings his own stories from Canada as they compare the different lifestyles, cultures and social norms they encountered along the way.
They also get into how travelling can completely change your perspective on home. As much as there is to love about seeing the world, sometimes it takes leaving Australia to realise just how good we have it.
