Does Acts 15 Actually Support Hebrew Roots? | Wilber vs. Solberg Debate (Messianic Jewish Response)

    21.08.2026 | 1 Std. 6 Min.
David Wilber and R.L. Solberg recently debated whether Acts 15 requires Gentiles to be Torah observant. They both agreed that the four prohibitions come from Leviticus 17-18. In this episode, I demonstrate that Wilber's Hebrew Roots argument is weak and unfounded in Acts 15 and that they mistakenly claim that all four prohibitions are commandments taken from Leviticus 17-18. I also offer a more plausible way of understanding the four prohibitions and what James meant when he said "For from ancient generations Moses has had in every city those who proclaim him, for he is read every Sabbath in the synagogues." Enjoy!
