Emily examines the disturbing online reaction from people celebrating or mocking Piacenti’s death simply because she worked for Bank of America and what it reveals about Americans becoming increasingly numb to violence. She then reacts to a heated CNN debate between Kmele Foster and Jemele Hill over claims that capitalism is bound up with white supremacy and explains why injecting identity politics into the conversation makes it harder to seriously confront capitalism’s flaws.
