Solomonster Sounds Off

WWE is holding its Night of Champions show next weekend and I've got PREDICTIONS, including for the King of the Ring and Queen of the Ring finals, thoughts on what happened on Smackdown and why Sami Zayn should win the WWE championship in Riyadh.

But it was also a WILD WEEK FOR TNA and I'm covering more TNA news in this one episode than I've ever done in the 19 years of this podcast... with thoughts on Tessa Blanchard LEAVING TNA, Tommy Dreamer "mutually" parting ways with the company (sure thing), Sami Callihan making some noise on his way out after getting the axe and questions about exactly how much money TNA is getting out of this AMC deal as talent continues to flee.

On the AEW side, Jim Ross is back in the hospital again, FTR is taking time away from the ring and thoughts on Maya World's SHOCKING WIN over Athena in the Owen Hart tournament and where things may be headed there with Mercedes Mone in the finals.

Plus, the death of Duke Doherty, thoughts on Cyndi Lauper getting her own WWE action figure and what that means for the Hall of Fame, could a Razor Ramon World title run have worked and my review for the new TOY STORY 5 movie.

Vince McMahon's legal troubles may not be over yet, but he's been spared an embarrassing trial in a SURPRISE move this week, and here's why that makes a return to WWE at some point a lot more likely than it was before.  I have also have words for those who continue to defend this man, including dumb comments from Teddy Long and JBL.  The CM Punk rumors this week have also been INSANE... here's when you can expect him back and a way that he could win... KING OF THE RING?!  Plus... other KOTR and QOTR updates, including the completion of the SMACKDOWN SWEEP as the brand gets totally buried... the Paramount/Skydance acquisition of WBD gets Justice Department approval, but why it could still all fall apart... renewed drama in the Ryan Nemeth lawsuit against AEW as he takes another shot at CM Punk... tribalism in wrestling during the Monday Night War... the best tournament finals in wrestling history, including best KOTR final... and my review for DISCLOSURE DAY, which was supposed to be Steven Spielberg's best film in 20 years.  Yeah, about that...
