From predator to prey, the lead mare potential

    18.03.2026 | 1 Std. 25 Min.
In this episode of The Being Herd Podcast we welcome the wonderful Cassandra Ogier. Founder of The Reflective Horse® and a pioneer in equine-guided experiences with wild and domestic free-roaming horses, Cassandra is the creator of Equine Guided Empowerment®, Somatic Reprogramming®, and Somatic Riding®. Cassandra’s work lives in the space in between, the place of pure potential and embodied knowing where the herd is the guide, presence is a lived practice, and relationship is the pathway to embodied sovereignty. Cassandra is based in Pasa Robles, CA.
In this conversation Cassandra and I explore the waves of potential which present themselves to us when we remember our embodiment, ground into our knowing, and experience our power. Cassandra shares how the horses she shares her life with are beautiful examples of what it means to be a safe vessel of expression. Once again we witness, through this conversation, how integral our lives with horses are and what our roles can be in supporting the shift into a higher level of consciousness across the planet.
    Thank you for listening!

    29.07.2025 | 1 Std. 32 Min.
In this episode of The Being Herd Podcast Angela and Nica return to discuss the potent layers of change in relation to business and becoming. Their new venture of supporting heart lead entrepreneurs come into alignment with who they are so that they can be more effective in their work is very inspiring to me. In this episode we touch on different aspects of life as they pertain to developing from the inside out:
A few themes discussed in this episode:
    - Who are we, now?
    - Who are we becoming?
    - Business as a reflection.
    - Wearing skins which don't fit.
    - How to step into a life where passion pays the bills.
I hope you find inspiration and encouragement from this episode, to connect with yourself and life around you (including the horses) from a deep, rich perspective.

From hardship to hope, the magic of healing with Zoha Jung and Carina Maiwald

    07.07.2025 | 1 Std. 25 Min.
This week on the Being Herd Podcast we have two guests with us! Zoha Jung and Carina Maiwald.
Zoha is the founder of The Backwater Sanctuary, a non-profit rehabilitation and rescue sanctuary based in Kabini, India. Zoha's drive and passion for equine / animal welfare is an inspiration. Her commitment to creating a safe space for animals to be who they are, and to ultimately thrive is a testament to her core values and belief in the possibility and magic of healing. She is also my cousin so I feel very grateful to have a member of my family on the pod!
Carina is a multi award winning Equine Photographer, healer, and inspiration as well. To me she embodies truth, courage, intuition, and presence in one of the most profound ways I have seen to date. Her passion for sharing the truth of the horses she is photographing instills a sense of deep magic into the framework of her purpose. She is also passionate about capturing and sharing the beauty of the journey horses go through in their healing.
Together Zoha and Carina are forces of nature. In this episode we hear them give their perspectives on what it is like to share the stories of equines who are healing to an audience who primarily values pleasing aesthetics. We also discuss equine sensitivity and the magical, synchronistic healing journey of Hector who Carina recently worked with at the Sanctuary.
