Psalm 79 shows us a powerful example of intercessory prayer on behalf of Israel. Reminding God, through prayer, about His promises on behalf of others can be a way for us to feel like we can help in prayer when it seems like there is nothing we can do. Not unlike today, Israel was in a desperate situation spiritually, politically, and economically.
