Cassian opens up about feeling outmatched by Eris, and in a rare vulnerable moment, he and Nesta grow closer physically, their bond tightening through their shared desire, shame, and care. Inspired by Gwyn and Emerie’s bravery, Nesta agrees to try scrying for the Trove. When she fails, she crashes back into self-loathing and isolation, triggering a nightmare tied to the Cauldron that results in an uncontrollable burst of her power, forcing Rhys to step in and help her, revealing the truth of her Cauldron-made power in the process.
