Adam Hillis has been around the Ironman scene since a random 70km bike ride in 2020. Coming from a competitive hockey background, he found his long-distance legs fast and most recently qualified for the Hot Rock in October.

It hasn’t been smooth sailing. Unpacking it all as a shift worker while moving from one of the coldest parts of the world to the hottest has had its challenges.

Post Kona, Adam is eyeing off the inaugural Ultraman New Zealand at the back end of 2026!

Rhys Atterton is your quintessential age-group athlete. Full-time shift work, married with two young children, and he still gets it done. If you were looking for a Koa Sports athlete Rhys is it! Works hard and celebrates even harder.
With a background in national-level soccer, his endurance foundation was built early.
Rhys hit the Kona Q dream in Da Nang in May, and we go through a blow-by-blow of his prep and the race itself.

Koa Sports conquered the mountain, 5 IRONMAN Cairns TriClub titles in a row (2022-2026)!  The Michelle “Five Fa” Pfeiffer, with the shiny red Kookaburra held aloft at the presentation ceremony on Monday at Salthouse.
 
We unpack an incredible weekend in Cairns, including a few athletes’ interviews to hear straight from them on how the day unfolded. 
 
But we know what you’re all here for…. the afterparty, and we leave no stone unturned as Greg does himself a mischief and lets himself and the family down.
