- In this podcast, we meet dancers Lorena Olguín and Mirte Bogaert, who reflect on their encounter with the exhibitions by Shwan Dler Qaradaki and Mona Tahani at Kunsthall 3,14. Through movement, improvisation, and embodied presence, they explore how art can be experienced and understood through the body. The conversation moves between memory, vulnerability, resistance, and belonging, and between what can be expressed in words and what can only be experienced through movement.
- Palestinian artist, producer and curator Motaz Al Habbash, based in Norway, joins Gitte Sætre to reflect on memory, displacement, and everyday life under political pressure. They discuss the film "Donkey of 7th of October," the role of artists in times of conflict, and what it means to live and work in diaspora. Also touching on Motaz’s recent stay in Egypt and how artistic perspectives can open space for reflection within complex political realities.
- What happens when art confronts the ecological paradoxes of our time?
In this episode, we explore the interactions of decoupling- the idea that an economy can grow without increasing environmental pressure, speculative futures, and material storytelling. These themes are inspired by the Dutch artist Fanja Bouts' exhibition at Kunsthall 3,14 (on display until August 2025).
Joining us are Fanja Bouts and the Bergen-based artist Jannecke Knudsen Heien. Together, we discuss how art can act as both a critique and a proposal, challenging unsustainable systems while also imagining alternatives, often in collaboration with researchers and policymakers.
Both artists share a deep interest in temporal imaginaries. - Hvordan oppdage kunsten?
