We see what S&D have been up to since going their separate ways. Sam has given up the hunting life and has found work at a bar in Oklahoma. Meanwhile, Dean and Cas team up to capture the archangel Raphael who might be able to help them find God. 

We discuss how hilarious the Dean and Cas dynamic is in this episode, a conspiracy Joy has about Lindsey, and how the final scene with Lucifer and Sam is like a rom-com.

In this episode Joy and Laura break down season 5 episode 2 “Good God, Y’all!”. One of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, War, controls a town making everyone think everyone else is a demon so they fight among themselves and kill each other needlessly. Sam and Dean team up with Jo, Ellen and Rufus to save the day.

We discuss our feelings about seeing Ellen and Jo again, Laura gets impatient to see Lucifer, and we both think War is a hot villain. 

We also discuss how Sam might be pushing himself too far, just so Dean will forgive him, the parallels to addiction, the morals around killing someone possessed by a demon, and react to Sam and Dean separating at the end of the episode.

In this episode Joy and Laura break down season 5 episode 1 “Sympathy For The Devil”. After Lucifer was freed at the end of season 4, Sam and Dean go after the Michael sword to use it to defeat him. Meanwhile, Lucifer is searching for his vessel, a man named Nick, and gains his consent to use him as a host body.

We discuss Becky and how much we hate her; how Laura is going to fall in love with Lucifer; and Bobby being possessed by a demon, and how he manages to break through the demon possession because he loves Sam and Dean so much!

We also discuss the character Nick and how sympathetic he is; how PTSD has been portrayed in this episode, and angel consent.
