How do we pronounce Franchaela?! We're gonna have to learn, because we've got the direction for Season 5, and it's gonna be Franchesca's kind of third go-round, to some degree here, and three is hopeful to be the charm here. Now, does this show basically spoil the end of every series before it starts at this point? It does, but whatever, we're having fun. We also dive into the big change from the books for this one

We've got Francesca's Emmy nomination episode out of this, at least, but we begin with her grieving while putting together a funeral and being told by everyone in her life that she's doing it wrong, but at least our sibs are there for some good brief distractions about biscuits. Benny is having a meltdown trying to help Francesca, experiencing a breakup, and getting harassed by his mom until he magically says the word "love" and Bridgermom has an epiphany she somehow has never once considered before. Araminta simply will NOT let Sophie just escape from their lives no matter how hard she tries. But most importantly, Posy goes flying out a friggin' window.

This episode sent Kevin and Jon into a soul search that has us making our most controversial alliance since our Berger Boys days, and that is: we're Cressida Guys. The episode begins with a post-coital wakeup for Ben & Soph, but besides "how YOU doin?" they haven't answered many questions. Anthony comes back – all the way back to season 1 form to push around the guy who's been doing his job while he's on vacay – and Penelope makes a big request from the queen. This ep also has a proposal and a character's exit, so when you put it like that…we guess it was weirdly big?

We're back from the Bridgerton halftime break, and Misstressgate 1817 still rages on! Not just for Sophie, who has been ghosting all of Benny's letters, but for Hiscox's mistress Virginia who is unfortunately thrown under the bus by some of the vaguest writing in Whistledown history. Francesca struggles with her new houseguest Michaela, whose behavior – buddy – we have some feelings about! Hyacinth is pumped for her recital, even if the boys behavior will make her drop an iconic "Lemonade" album centuries before Beyoncé, and Bridgermom struggles with how to introduce her new friend with bennies to HER Benny and the gang. Spoiler…someone does go downtown for the ladies in this one!
