Episode 004 - Breaking Down "The Damned, The Shamed" w/ Buske
Often considered obtuse and the most “out of character” record for Terror, this one is a glimpse into a very time-specific and transitional phase of the band.
Nick Jett was now the primary songwriter and was coming off the heels of debuting that craft on “Always The Hard Way”. We’d been on tour pretty much nonstop since ATHW dropped and Nick was a writing machine having learned how to demo songs with programmed drums while we were constantly on the road. Pushing the boundaries of traditional style Hardcore, the band was now much more a summation of its members as more of a Metal influence permeated the song writing and structures. A heavy-penned lyrical approach overshadowed many of the songs making for a much darker and ominous lyrical overtone, further adding to the records unique characteristics.
I’m glad this exists in the catalog and discography and I remember being super stoked on it when it finished, however many of the subsequent records that followed—namely “Keepers Of The Faith” and “Total Retaliation”, are showcases of the authentic Terror Hardcore sound we’ve all come to admire and long for.

Episode 001 - Breaking Down “Lowest Of The Low” w/ Todd Jones
When I had the idea for this site I started running it by Jared Carmen (Down To Nothing, Trapped Under Ice) to get some feedback. He is always someone who gives a no holds barred opinion and if something is off or isn’t making sense he will let you know. I was super glad that he got ultra fired up on the idea and we spent the next hour texting back and forth thoughts and some serious brainstorming on things that we could do that we’re outside the box for Terror. He came up with the idea to have the band talk in depth about each record. All our memories and the highs and lows of the whole process. Of course we had to start with the first record “Lowest Of The Low” and invited Todd to sit down in my garage in Burbank, CA to talk and laugh our way through some thing that Todd, Nick and I put together almost 20 years ago that gave this band a spark we never imagined would last so fucking long. - SV
