In the debut episode of The City Music Show, we’ve invited indie-darlings Coming Up Roses to talk about their music, their roots and the blossoming future ahead. Hot off their ‘Back The Way We Came’ Asia tour, Lionel aka Smash Pop Junkie tries his best to pry and find out who’s always late for jamming sessions, the ultimate money-spender on gear, and what the British members think about Singapore’s favourite local snacks… All while the band attempts to construct a working synthesizer from scratch!
Now based in London, Coming Up Roses’ music speaks on relationships, acceptance, nostalgia and change. As they adjust to their new way of life, they unearth new perspectives from each other’s experiences that they use to nurture their sound. Coming Up Roses is Emily Sera on vocals and bass, Darius Oon on guitar, Charlie Wilson on guitar and Caleb Blake on drums.
