EP 71: The Nord Stream Pipeline: Accident Or Sabotage?
This is episode 71 of The Truth Tank.On September 26th, 2022, several underwater explosions were detected on the Nord Stream NS1 and NS2 pipelines, resulting in multiple gas leaks in 3 out of the 4 pipelines. The Nord Stream pipeline is located in international waters in the Baltic Sea and transports natural gas from Russia to Germany, with the majority of the infrastructure being Russian Owned. In the episode, we take a deep and detailed dive into the pipeline’s destruction and the investigations that followed. what is Nord Stream? What happened? Who are the suspects? And Why was it targeted? We’ll explore four different perspectives on the incident from four countries that were either affected by the pipeline’s destruction or are suspected of having some involvement in it. The pipeline’s destruction released approximately 800 million cubic meters of methane gas into the atmosphere. What are the potential environmental impacts of such a massive release? Who stands to gain from the pipeline being taken out of commission? What does it mean for energy supplies across Europe? Explosive traces were found on a nearby yacht, suggesting sabotage may have played a role and potentially, a cover-up. EP 70: The Weekly Tank: A Complete Unknown Film Review, Tim's Triumphant Transformation
This is episode 70 of The Truth Tank.This is the 2nd Weekly Tank Episode, where I will be reviewing A Complete Unknown. The Bob Dylan bio-pic starring Timothee Chalamet, Edward Norton, Elle Fanning, Monica Barbaro, Boyd Holbrook and Scoot McNairy, Directed by James Mangold.The film is much more than the average musical bio-pic, set in 1961 New York, a young Bob Dylan arrives in a new city with just the clothes on his back, a guitar, a notebook and a dream of meeting his musical idols. EP 68: The Weekly Tank: Disney & Netflix The Death Dealers Of Physical Media
This is episode 68 of The Truth Tank.This Episode is the first Weekly Tank. The Weekly Tank will look at current events, sport, strange stories, entertainment and more in-between the bigger shows. In this episode, We will be looking at Disney’s decision to discontinue physical media in Australia, New Zealand and most of the Southern Hemisphere due to declining sales. No one can deny there has been a decline in physical media sales, however Disney has a vested interest in signing up as many people as possible to Disney+ hence their and other Streaming Giants like Netflix crusade to destroy physical media to drive subscriptions over to them. The last Disney DVD/Blu Ray to be released was Guardians of the Galaxy 3 in 2023. Here lies the problem, Disney own 20th Century Fox, Lucasfilm and Marvel and their vast collections of legacy IPs such as Star Wars, Aliens, Planet of the Apes & Indiana Jones to name a few. In recent years they have pumped out theatrical released sequels and no physical copies, so if you want to buy in the southern hemisphere you'd have to source them from overseas retailers. If a film is released in a cinemas, it should be available to buy everywhere, unfortunately this trend will continue around the world.
