After calling 10 witnesses in five days, the Duxbury mother's defense rested Friday, and prosecutors called their first rebuttal witness. In this Commonwealth Confidential extended interview, Dr. Josef Witt-Doerring, a psychiatrist and the founder of a firm that helps people taper off of psychiatric drugs, shared his thoughts on the evidence shared about Lindsay Clancy's psychiatric medications, his suspicion that she had "an adverse drug reaction" as well as the benefits that the drugs have for many people.

Jurors heard from Sheila Cavanaugh, a chaplain at Brigham and Women's Hospital who recalled the Duxbury mother saying she had heard a voice telling her to kill her children and herself. Our legal analysts discuss how the witness' account, and cross-examination from prosecutors, might impact the case as testimony nears its end. They also talk about the rally held outside court Thursday in support of Clancy, which prompted the judge to poll the jury one by one.

Jurors heard from a forensic pathologist who shed light on what he says was in the Duxbury mother's mind on the night she killed her three children, and what her life's been like in the hospital.
