Episode 54: Windelrecycling mit Enzymen
Jährlich werden in Europa 20 Milliarden Wegwerfwindeln verbraucht. Ein acib-Projekt, das am 01.01.2025 gestartet hat, entwickelt ein spezifisches Enzymsystem, das Recycling von Windeln revolutionieren soll. Die Forscher:innen versuchen in dem Projekt zu beweisen, dass Windeln mithilfe des sogenannten „Garbage Enzyme“ gereinigt werden können und sich die saubere Trennung von Acrylat- und Kunststofffasern wirtschaftlich auszahlt.
